The role is temporary ongoing (FTC also available) and offering a salary in the range of £40-50k dependant on experience and skillset.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can quickly bring structure and control to a fast-paced transport function.
You’ll oversee day-to-day transport operations for a distribution site running c.40 routes with a mixed van/Class 2 fleet, delivering across Central London and the surrounding areas. High-drop environment, tight schedules, no CPC required.
Key Duties of Transport Manager:
- Day-to-day transport planning and execution
- Managing drivers and supporting a Transport Supervisor
- Ensuring compliance, vehicle checks, and smooth loading operations
- Maintaining service levels in a time-critical operation
- Proven experience in high-volume, multi-drop transport
- Calm, practical, and confident managing drivers
- Strong compliance awareness
- Background in parcel/courier or similar environments
