Student Support and Attendance

KC Group are recruiting on behalf of a client for 2 Student Support Advisors based in the Leeds area.

This is a 6-week placement with the potential to be extended beyond this period. The role is paying an hourly rate of £13.00–£13.50 per hour(dependent on experience), working Monday–Friday across a rota shift pattern.

Working hours will include:
  • Morning shifts: 8:45am – 5:00pm
  • Evening shifts: 1:00pm – 8:00pm (Student Hub open until 8pm)
  • Rotating pattern of 2 morning shifts & 3 evening shifts, or 3 evening shifts & 2 morning shifts per week
You’ll be the first point of contact for students, providing clear, empathetic support across in-person, phone, email, live chat, and messaging platforms. Working as part of a proactive team, you’ll handle student enquiries, offer guidance, and refer complex issues to specialist teams to ensure an excellent student experience.

Key responsibilities of the Student Support Advisor include:
  • Responding to student queries promptly and professionally
  • Monitoring attendance and advising on absence-related matters
  • Supporting student wellbeing and identifying safeguarding concerns
  • Managing student data and contributing to reporting
  • Coordinating campus activities and events
  • Acting as a liaison between students and academic staff
To be considered for the Student Support Advisor role:
  • Experience in a student-facing, advisory, customer service, or support role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
  • Confidence working with data and multiple systems (CRM experience desirable)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
