Sourcing Specialist


We are working with a leading procurement organisation seeking a Sourcing Specialist to support the delivery of high-quality national sourcing agreements.

This role focuses on Managing end-to-end sourcing projects, negotiating supplier contracts and delivering best-value agreements that support effective healthcare delivery.
 
This role is full time, permanent, based in Birmingham, and offers a hybrid working pattern.
 
Key Responsibilities as a Sourcing Specialist:
  • Manage sourcing projects from planning through to contract award and launch
  • Conduct market research and prepare tender documentation (RFI, RFP/ITT)
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies with guidance from senior stakeholders
  • Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, terms, and conditions
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and support award recommendations
  • Present sourcing outcomes to internal teams and customers
  • Build and manage supplier relationships throughout the sourcing process
  • Collaborate with legal, clinical, commercial, and operational teams
  • Support contract implementation and resolve supplier or customer issues
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance standards
 
Skills and Experience Required as a Sourcing Specialist:
  • Experience in sourcing, procurement, or a commercial role
  • Strong analytical skills with confidence working with pricing and financial data
  • End to end procurement experience 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to interpret contract language
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
