Senior Insurance Officer

KC Group is partnering with a respected Authority to recruit an experienced Senior Insurance Officer to support the effective management of its insurance programme and claims function, on a temporary basis, working hybrid. The role is paying an hourly rate of £19.00-£26.00 per hour, dependant on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities Of the Senior Insurance Officer role Include:
  • Oversee insurance claims annually across multiple classes.
  • Manage the performance of an external claims handling partner.
  • Line-manage the Claims Handler and contribute to team development.
  • Maintain and improve claims systems, ensuring accurate data and reporting.
  • Produce high-quality management information and financial analysis.
  • Provide professional insurance advice to services and senior stakeholders.
  • Conduct investigations, assess liability and authorise settlements.
  • Build relationships with insurers, brokers, solicitors and other partners.
  • Deputise for the Insurance Manager, lead policy tenders and manage specialist portfolios.
To be considered for the Senior Insurance Officer role:
  • Proven insurance experience within a professional environment.
  • CII Certificate (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong IT, analytical and communication skills.
  • Confident decision-maker with the ability to improve processes.
  • Experience handling customer enquiries and managing relationships.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
