- Manage the performance of an external claims handling partner.
- Line-manage the Claims Handler and contribute to team development.
- Maintain and improve claims systems, ensuring accurate data and reporting.
- Produce high-quality management information and financial analysis.
- Provide professional insurance advice to services and senior stakeholders.
- Conduct investigations, assess liability and authorise settlements.
- Build relationships with insurers, brokers, solicitors and other partners.
- Deputise for the Insurance Manager, lead policy tenders and manage specialist portfolios.
- Proven insurance experience within a professional environment.
- CII Certificate (or equivalent experience).
- Strong IT, analytical and communication skills.
- Confident decision-maker with the ability to improve processes.
- Experience handling customer enquiries and managing relationships.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
