Assignment Details Include:
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 30 June 2026
- Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
- Location: Solihull, B91
- Salary: Hourly rate of £28-£30 per hour dependant on experience
- Contract Type: Temporary / Interim
Key duties of the Senior Financial Accountant role:
- Production of accurate and timely management accounts
- Preparation of year-end accounts
- Cash flow monitoring and forecasting
- Budgetary control and working closely with budget holders to resolve financial queries
- Managing financial aspects of capital projects
- Using and maintaining computerised accounting systems
- Producing high-quality financial reports and analysis
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, or ICAEW)
- Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Proven experience producing management accounts and year-end accounts
- Strong experience in cash flow forecasting and budget management
- Confident working with budget holders and senior stakeholders
- Good working knowledge of computerised accounting packages
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial reporting capability
- Experience managing capital projects
- Experience within the Further Education sector is highly desirable
