The Role
As a Senior Audit Associate, you’ll play a key role in the delivery of end-to-end audit services for a broad portfolio of SMEs and small-cap listed clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with senior client stakeholders, while also supporting the growth and development of more junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute audits from start to finish in collaboration with audit managers and directors
- Carry out on-site and remote fieldwork with client teams
- Prepare financial statements and assist in resolving complex technical issues
- Lead and review the work of junior team members, providing mentoring and feedback
- Build effective working relationships with CFOs, FDs, and business owners
- Identify areas for process improvement or additional advisory opportunities
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Experience delivering external audit services within UK accountancy practice
- Ability to manage multiple client assignments with efficiency and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commercial mindset
- Confidence working directly with clients and stakeholders
- Passion for leadership, training, and mentoring others
- Comfortable in a hybrid working environment
- Early exposure to business leaders and decision-makers
