Our client is seeking an experienced People Partner to join their Berlin-based team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on HR professional to step into a well-established environment and make an immediate impact across operational people matters.
  
The role is highly operational, with a strong focus on Employee Relations, stakeholder support, and driving initiatives to improve engagement, retention, and manager capability.
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with managers to deliver practical, business-aligned HR support across day-to-day operations.
  • Take ownership of Employee Relations (ER) cases, including performance, conduct, and absence management.
  • Provide hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, coaching and supporting managers on effective people management.
  • Support initiatives aimed at reducing labour turnover, identifying trends and implementing solutions.
  • Upskill hiring managers to improve recruitment processes, interviewing capability, and hiring decisions.
  • Drive and support engagement action plans, using employee feedback and data insights.
  • Monitor and analyse HR metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support organisational changes, including restructures and team adjustments where required.
  
What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in a Business Partner/Manager role within an operational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of German employment law and HR best practices.
  • Confident managing Employee Relations cases independently.
  • A pragmatic, hands-on approach with the ability to quickly build credibility.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience in retention, engagement, and manager capability initiatives.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Fluency in German and English is essential.
