People Operations Director
Location: Worcester (Hybrid Working)
Salary:  £70,000 - £80,000

We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing, innovative organisation seeking an experienced People Operations Director. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for overseeing the HR Service function and driving operational excellence across all aspects of HR for approximately 7,000 employees.

The role:

Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will lead the HR Service Centre and advisory function, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and an exceptional employee experience. You will manage HR systems, employee relations, TUPE processes, policy adherence, and team development, while providing strategic insight and operational leadership across the HR function.

What you'll do:
  • Develop and execute the HR operations strategy, aligned with business objectives and the people strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvement of HR processes, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Oversee HRIS and HR technologies, ensuring data integrity and effective reporting.
  • Analyse HR data to provide insights, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law, regulations, and internal policies, managing risk effectively.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing HR team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Champion initiatives to enhance employee experience through efficient HR service delivery.
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience leading and developing HR operations teams in a fast-paced, large-scale environment.
  • Experience supporting HRIS implementations and optimisations.
  • Deep knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, compliance, RTW, and DBS processes.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, and talent development skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive change in dynamic environments.
  • CIPD Level 7 qualification.
