Location: Cheshire Region
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Bonus
Working Model: On-Site
 
Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing international organisation, is seeking an experienced permanent Payroll Team Lead to oversee their multi-country payroll operations. This is an exciting opportunity to support an evolving payroll function within a business known for its innovation, agility and commitment to continuous improvement.
  
Reporting directly into the Head of Payroll, you’ll guide a small but dedicated payroll team, ensuring the accurate and compliant delivery of payrolls across multiple regions. You’ll act as a trusted point of expertise, supporting both your team and wider stakeholders, while driving best practice and identifying opportunities for process enhancement.
   
What you’ll do:
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of multi-country payrolls, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Mentor and develop a small team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Act as the key contact for payroll queries, providing clear guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Review and validate payroll data, maintaining integrity and confidentiality at all times.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement best practice across the function.
   
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience managing both UK payrolls within a complex organisation. (Global exposure a bonus)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to support and inspire a team.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge and confidence working with large data sets.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
