Our client is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their globally established and high-performing business. This is an excellent opportunity for payroll professionals with strong operational experience to take ownership of a complex, high-volume French payroll process within a well-structured international organisation. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external providers, contributing to both accurate day-to-day payroll delivery and ongoing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for France, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with French payroll, tax, and social security legislation.
- Act as the main point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees, managers, and HR teams.
- Collaborate with third-party payroll providers to ensure accurate payroll delivery, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Oversee payroll validation processes, including trial checks, gross-to-net reconciliations, and payment file management.
- Ensure all payroll inputs, including variable pay and one-time payments, are accurately processed and recorded.
- Maintain compliance with all statutory reporting requirements and regulatory obligations in France.
- Experience in a Payroll role, within a high-volume complex environment.
- Strong knowledge of French payroll legislation, processes, and compliance requirements.
- Strong ability to own full payroll cycles within defined timelines, working collaboratively as part of a high-performing payroll team.
- Confident working with stakeholders across HR, finance, and wider business teams.
- Experience using payroll and HR systems (e.g. Workday or similar) desirable.
- Fluency in French and English required.
