An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a large, well-established organisation with a strong reputation for supporting and developing its people.
You'll be joining a small, friendly payroll team and reporting directly to the Payroll Manager. This is a varied and rewarding role responsible for processing accurate and compliant payroll for over 750 employees across both monthly and weekly pay runs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for over 750+ employees
- Accurately input, validate, and reconcile payroll data within set deadlines
- Administer all statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP and student loans
- Process new starters, leavers, contractual changes, and salary amendments
- Ensure all HMRC submissions, including RTI and year-end reporting, are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with current legislation and internal policies
- Support with audits, reconciliations, and payroll reporting as required
- Respond promptly to employee queries, providing excellent customer service
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements to ensure continued efficiency

Essential skills and experience:
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Exposure to both weekly and monthly payrolls
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
- Strong numerical and organisational skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience with iTrent is highly desirable but not essential
