Are you an ambitious AAT, ACA or ACCA Part-Qualified Accountant looking to develop your career within a highly respected accountancy practice?
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Part-Qualified Accountant (Practice)/Business Services Semi-Senior to join a growing Business Services team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse client portfolio while receiving full support towards your professional qualifications and long-term career development.
Working closely with experienced managers and senior team members, you'll be involved in year-end accounts preparation, management accounts, VAT returns and a variety of client-facing responsibilities, helping businesses across a range of sectors achieve their financial goals.
- Prepare year-end accounts for a range of clients under FRS102 (1A) and FRS105.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Complete and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
- Support managers in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services.
- Build strong professional relationships with clients and respond to information requests.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
- Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations and industry developments.
- Work collaboratively across the Business Services team to meet client deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records, timesheets and work documentation.
- Gain exposure to wider service lines across the practice.
About You
- Prior experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- AAT qualified or ACA / ACCA part-qualified (or finalist).
- A genuine desire to continue studying towards a professional accountancy qualification.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- A proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of Xero and IRIS would be highly advantageous.
