Location: Walsall
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience/qualifications)
We are currently working with a dynamic and growing business based in Walsall, known for its collaborative culture, strong leadership, and focus on continuous improvement. As the company continues to expand, they are now looking to appoint a commercially focused Management Accountant to support financial decision-making and add value across the business.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, provide meaningful analysis, and work closely with stakeholders across operations, commercial and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process
- Business partnering with operational teams to support cost control and performance improvement
- Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
- Accruals, prepayments and journal entries
- Cash flow forecasting and analysis
- Support year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting
- Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and analysis for senior management
About You:
- Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles
- Proven experience in a similar role within industry
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders
- Proficient with Excel and accounting systems (experience with Sage, SAP, or similar)
- Proactive, analytical and detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines
