Lead FP&A Analyst

KC Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading professional services firm, to recruit a Lead FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Analyst.
  
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the business. As the Lead FP&A Analyst, you will head up the FP&A function, provide financial insights, and support key business decisions, while leading and developing a small team of Analysts.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  
  • Financial Planning – Develop and maintain financial planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term modelling.
  • Analysis & Reporting – Deliver insightful analysis and reporting to senior management, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Strategic Support – Partner with business leaders to provide financial input into strategic initiatives and growth opportunities.
  • Performance Monitoring – Track performance against budgets/forecasts, highlighting variances and recommending corrective action.
  • Team Leadership – Lead and mentor a team of Analysts, promoting collaboration and professional development.
  • Process Improvement – Drive improvements in systems and processes across the FP&A function.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships across Finance and the wider firm to ensure alignment on plans and initiatives.
  
About You:
  
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
  • Prior FP&A / financial analysis experience, ideally within professional services.
  • Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills. E
  • Proven track record of mentoring, leading and developing teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability – able to translate data into meaningful insight.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adaptable, proactive and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
