Lead advisory Manager

Lead Advisory Manager – Corporate Finance
Location: Bristol

Description
KC Group is supporting a leading corporate finance team in the search for a Lead Advisory Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and driven finance professional to join a fast-moving and ambitious team providing specialist advice on small and mid-market transactions.
The team advises on business acquisitions and disposals, due diligence, business valuations, and raising finance for expansion. Following record-breaking results in 2024, advising on transactions worth over £1 billion, the team is expanding its lead advisory capability. Assignments include sale mandates, buy-side retainers, management buyouts, and finance raising.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day interactions on lead advisory assignments, with typical transaction values up to £30 million.
  • Support sales mandates from initial engagement to completion, including partner-led negotiations and client relationship management.
  • Attend business development meetings, approach potential buyers, and help expand the firm’s offering to new target markets.
  • Conduct meetings with clients, potential acquirers, and due diligence teams.
  • Supervise the sales process, acting as the primary point of contact for both seller, buyer, and their advisers, ensuring project milestones are met on time.
  • Advise clients on acquisition and disposal mandates, including purchase price mechanics.
  • Prepare and review business valuations and Information Memoranda.
  • Oversee due diligence streams and ensure all information is complete.
  • Review financial aspects of Sale and Purchase Agreements, including purchase price mechanisms, accounts warranties, completion accounts, and deferred/earn-out schedules.
  • Prepare funds flows, estimated balance sheets, and financial modelling for raising finance.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in M&A and corporate finance advisory.
  • Accountancy qualification desired but not a strict requirement.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage complex projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambitious team and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, client-focused, and commercially minded.
What’s on Offer
  • Firm-wide profit share scheme.
  • Corporate finance bonus scheme.
  • Contribution towards parking (up to £11 per day).
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay.
  • Opportunity to work across offices in Bristol, Cardiff, or Cheltenham.
  • Career development support including mentoring and talent development programmes.
  • Exposure to high-profile, complex transactions and advisory work.
If you’re looking for a role where you can lead on high-value transactions, work closely with clients, and make a real impact in a collaborative team, KC Group would love to hear from you.
