Lead advisory

Lead Advisory Manager – Corporate Finance

Cheltenham, Cardiff, or Bristol | Full-time | Hybrid working
We are working with a highly regarded independent accountancy and advisory practice with a strong regional presence and a national reputation for excellence. Their Corporate Finance team provides specialist advice to small and mid-market businesses on a wide range of transactions including acquisitions, disposals, management buy-outs, due diligence, business valuations, and raising finance for growth.

The team has gone from strength to strength, delivering record-breaking results in 2024 by advising on transactions worth more than £1 billion. With significant growth plans for 2025, they are now looking to expand their Lead Advisory offering.

Assignments are typically sale mandates, along with buy-side retainers, management buy-outs, and finance-raising projects – with transaction values up to £30 million. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-performing team where you will work closely with experienced Partners and play a key role in delivering complex, high-value deals.

What you’ll be doing
  • Managing day-to-day interactions on lead advisory assignments with transaction values typically up to £30 million.
  • Managing sales mandates from initial engagement through to completion, including partner-led negotiations and client relationship management.
  • Attending business development meetings, approaching potential buyers, and helping to grow the firm’s offering in new target markets.
  • Conducting client and acquirer meetings, including due diligence sessions.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for sellers, buyers, and their advisers – ensuring project milestones are met.
  • Advising on acquisition and disposal mandates, including purchase price mechanics.
  • Preparing and reviewing business valuations and Information Memoranda.
  • Overseeing due diligence streams and ensuring information is complete.
  • Reviewing the financial aspects of Sale and Purchase Agreements, including completion accounts, warranties, and earn-out schedules.
  • Preparing funds flow statements, estimated balance sheets, and financial models to support finance raising.
What we’re looking for
  • Proven experience in M&A, corporate finance, or transaction advisory.
  • Accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA) preferred but not essential.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage complex projects under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, driven approach with a focus on delivering results.
What’s on offer
  • Competitive salary with a firm-wide profit share scheme.
  • Corporate finance bonus scheme.
  • Hybrid working with offices in Cheltenham, Cardiff, and Bristol.
  • Contribution towards parking (up to £11 per day).
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay.
  • Excellent career development with a dedicated mentoring and talent development programme.
If you’re looking for the chance to take ownership of high-value transactions, develop long-term client relationships, and be part of a high-growth team, we’d love to hear from you.
