We are working with a highly regarded independent accountancy and advisory practice with a strong regional presence and a national reputation for excellence. Their Corporate Finance team provides specialist advice to small and mid-market businesses on a wide range of transactions including acquisitions, disposals, management buy-outs, due diligence, business valuations, and raising finance for growth.
The team has gone from strength to strength, delivering record-breaking results in 2024 by advising on transactions worth more than £1 billion. With significant growth plans for 2025, they are now looking to expand their Lead Advisory offering.
Assignments are typically sale mandates, along with buy-side retainers, management buy-outs, and finance-raising projects – with transaction values up to £30 million. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-performing team where you will work closely with experienced Partners and play a key role in delivering complex, high-value deals.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing day-to-day interactions on lead advisory assignments with transaction values typically up to £30 million.
- Managing sales mandates from initial engagement through to completion, including partner-led negotiations and client relationship management.
- Attending business development meetings, approaching potential buyers, and helping to grow the firm’s offering in new target markets.
- Conducting client and acquirer meetings, including due diligence sessions.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for sellers, buyers, and their advisers – ensuring project milestones are met.
- Advising on acquisition and disposal mandates, including purchase price mechanics.
- Preparing and reviewing business valuations and Information Memoranda.
- Overseeing due diligence streams and ensuring information is complete.
- Reviewing the financial aspects of Sale and Purchase Agreements, including completion accounts, warranties, and earn-out schedules.
- Preparing funds flow statements, estimated balance sheets, and financial models to support finance raising.
- Proven experience in M&A, corporate finance, or transaction advisory.
- Accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA) preferred but not essential.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage complex projects under pressure.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
