This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations of the business — ensuring accurate reporting, effective budget management, and compliance with internal and external standards.
You’ll lead and develop a small finance team, providing coaching, guidance, and regular performance reviews to support growth and ensure strong financial practices. You’ll manage day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, invoicing, cash flow, and compliance with statutory and internal policies.
Working closely with the Financial Controller, you’ll support strategic financial planning, risk management, and the preparation of accurate monthly and year-end accounts. You’ll oversee reporting, reconciliations, and the Fixed Asset Register, as well as VAT, EC Sales, and ad hoc analysis.
The role also includes preparing management accounts with insightful commentary, administering payroll and petty cash, and ensuring compliance through effective audit support and policy maintenance.
About You
- Finalist/Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- A strong background in finance operations and management accounting.
- Experience leading and developing a finance team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise across departments and with external partners.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and organisational skills.
