The business currently outsources its finance function to an external practice, and this hire will be instrumental in bringing finance in-house, building processes, and embedding best practice to support the company’s long-term strategy.
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial management of the business, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and delivering high-quality financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Operations: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Reporting: Produce monthly management accounts and financial reports for stakeholders.
- Business Partnering: Support senior management with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategy development.
- WIP Reporting: Develop robust processes for work-in-progress reporting and collaborate with project managers to ensure accuracy.
- Tax Compliance: Manage the preparation and submission of VAT and other tax returns.
- Other Duties: Oversee company insurance, liaising with brokers and insurers, and manage the company pension scheme.
- Finalist / Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA).
- Previous experience in a similar role within facilities management, construction, or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicator, able to influence and build relationships across the business.
