Export Control Manager

A leading UK manufacturer is seeking an experienced Export Control Manager to lead and develop its export/import compliance framework across multiple sites. 

You'll be responsible for ensuring full adherence to UK, EU, and US regulations, including EAR and ITAR, while managing licensing, audits, training, and regulatory relationships.

This is a permanent, full time role, offering a salary ranging from £50-65k dependant on experience and skillset. 

Duties of the Export Control Manager role Include: 
  • Oversee export licensing, customs classification, and regulatory approvals
  • Manage compliance documentation, audits, and risk assessments
  • Deliver internal training and implement best practices
  • Liaise with government agencies (HMRC, ECJU) and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor and adapt to changing international trade laws
  • This role involves regular UK travel and a hands-on approach to managing compliance across the business
Skills and experience required for the Export Control Manager role Include: 
  • In-depth knowledge of UK, EU & US export laws (EAR, ITAR)
  • Background in aerospace, defence, or regulated manufacturing preferred
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Experience managing trade compliance or legal frameworks
  • Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
