Employment Tax Senior Manager

Employment Tax Manager Location: Thames Valley
Salary: Up to £70,000 + £4,500 car allowance + bonus (with flexibility depending on experience)

A leading national audit, tax, advisory and consulting firm is looking for an experienced Employment Tax Manager to join their growing Thames Valley team.

You’ll work closely with local tax partners and the national Workforce Advisory group to deliver a wide range of employment tax services. The team works with a diverse portfolio of clients — from owner-managed businesses and quoted groups to national charities — offering both compliance and advisory support.
This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical expertise, manage high-quality client relationships, and progress your career within a growing and supportive environment.

The Opportunity You’ll play a key role in providing tailored employment tax advice, supporting compliance activities, and helping clients navigate complex areas such as worker status, remuneration planning, and HMRC reporting.
You’ll also contribute to business development initiatives, helping to generate new opportunities and strengthen client relationships across the Thames Valley and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
Delivering a range of employment tax consultancy advice, including:
  • Employer compliance reviews and internal audit work
  • Status of workers and IR35 reviews
  • Due diligence and Class 1A NIC reporting
  • Expenses and benefits tax treatment
  • Remuneration planning, including share schemes and salary sacrifice arrangements
  • Construction Industry Scheme reviews
  • Assisting clients with P11Ds, share scheme reporting, and employment-related securities submissions.
  • Managing and coaching junior team members.
  • Building client relationships and identifying opportunities to deliver additional services.
  • Taking responsibility for the financial performance of your client portfolio.
About You
  • ACA or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical background in employment tax compliance and advisory work.
  • Experience managing client relationships and leading project delivery.
  • A passion for client service and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to identify new business opportunities.
