Corporate M&A / Deals Tax Manager

Cheltenham or Cardiff | Full-time | Hybrid working
We are working with a leading independent accountancy and advisory practice with a strong regional presence and a national reputation for excellence. Their award-winning Taxation, Transaction Services and M&A teams are recognised for delivering exceptional results across a wide range of corporate finance transactions.

In the past year alone, their Corporate Finance team has advised on over 130 deals worth more than £1.2 billion, placing them amongst the top 10 UK financial advisers. They work closely with corporate acquirers, private equity houses, and major banks – providing trusted, expert advice on all aspects of tax that impact corporate and business transactions.

As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a Corporate M&A / Deals Tax Manager to join their team in either Cheltenham or Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile transactions while enjoying the flexibility and benefits of a people-focused firm.

What you’ll be doing
  • Leading and delivering tax due diligence reviews on target businesses and vendor due diligence assignments.
  • Highlighting key tax risks and advising on warranties, indemnities, and the tax implications of sale and purchase agreements.
  • Conducting pre-disposal reviews of the tax aspects of businesses with active sales mandates.
  • Advising on corporate and group reorganisations in a clear and client-focused way.
  • Understanding transaction structures and advising on optimal tax planning strategies.
What we’re looking for
  • ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified.
  • UK corporate tax, capital or employment tax experience in a transactions environment – or a strong desire to move into this area.
  • Commercially minded with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
  • A sharp eye for identifying risks and price-affecting issues.
  • A client-first approach with a focus on quality and accuracy.
