About the Role We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join a growing Midlands tax team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional to work on a mix of advisory and compliance projects, including UK and cross-border work, with exposure to a wide variety of clients ranging from owner-managed businesses to larger corporate groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead UK and cross-border corporate tax advisory projects, reporting to senior partners.
- Oversee larger or more complex compliance work across a client portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional services such as corporate tax, VAT, payroll, and corporate finance support.
- Provide practical, solution-based advice on corporate tax issues, group restructures, R&D claims, and property taxes/capital allowances.
- Support the development and mentoring of junior staff, providing on-the-job coaching and guidance.
- Participate in business development initiatives to generate new work and expand client relationships.
- Ensure all work is delivered in line with regulatory standards and firm risk management policies.
- ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent).
- Significant practical corporate tax experience across advisory and compliance projects.
- Experience managing compliance for larger groups, R&D, property taxes, and group reorganisations desirable.
- Strong client focus with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across tax, audit, and corporate finance teams while exercising initiative.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing team members.
