Audit manager

Audit Manager / Senior Manager Location: Bristol, UK
Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 per annum

About the Role We are seeking an ambitious Audit Manager / Senior Manager to join a growing audit team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to lead audits, manage client relationships, and contribute to the development of a collaborative, people-first team. You’ll work with a diverse portfolio of clients, from fast-growing SMEs to established industry leaders, across a wide range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage audit clients with turnovers ranging from £1m to £100m.
  • Take responsibility for corporate clients requiring higher levels of ad-hoc work, including cash flow forecasting and management accounts production.
  • Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted adviser on technical and commercial matters.
  • Use in-depth client knowledge to anticipate and address complex issues.
  • Support clients through corporate transactions such as sales, purchases, and fundraising.
  • Collaborate closely with internal tax teams to manage tax computations and corporation tax matters.
  • Assist senior colleagues with ad hoc projects, including corporate finance assignments (due diligence, AIM listings, MBOs, raising finance, etc.).
  • Drive business development by proactively managing existing clients and targeting new audit and non-audit opportunities.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Take on Senior Manager responsibilities where applicable, including strategic input, client portfolio oversight, and higher-level decision-making.
Skills & Experience
  • ACA / ACCA / CA qualified.
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, ISAs, and Companies Act legislation.
  • Proven experience managing audits and client portfolios.
  • Strong business development skills and confidence in pitching for new work.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
