We are working with a fast-growing, tech-enabled accounting firm that supports ambitious businesses and entrepreneurs across the UK. They combine expert advisory services with innovative technology to help their SME clients plan better and grow faster.
As an Audit Director/Partner (RI) based in Bristol, you will play a pivotal role in leading and expanding their audit practice. This is a strategic leadership position where you will manage complex audit engagements, build and nurture key client relationships, and spearhead new business development initiatives. Your RI qualification and audit expertise will underpin your leadership, enabling you to deliver outstanding service and drive the firm’s growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Develop and execute growth strategies to increase audit market share in the Bristol region.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing audit team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Client Relationship & Business Development
- Build trusted advisor relationships with key clients, providing specialist audit insights.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, contributing directly to revenue growth.
- Represent the firm at local networking and industry events to enhance reputation and visibility.
- Operational Excellence
- Oversee audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory and financial reporting standards.
- Drive efficiency improvements and optimise audit workflows for better client outcomes.
- Team Development & Mentorship
- Mentor and develop audit team members to cultivate future leaders.
- Participate in recruitment and retention initiatives to build a resilient, dynamic team.
- ACA or ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience in audit.
- Registered Auditor (RI) qualification is essential.
- Proven track record managing audit engagements and leading business development.
- Deep technical expertise in audit and financial reporting, with strong regulatory and risk awareness.
- Excellent commercial acumen and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
