Description
KC Group is supporting a leading Top 35 accountancy practice in the search for a part-qualified Audit Associate to join their expanding audit team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to the full audit process across a diverse portfolio of clients, including manufacturing, distribution, food and drink, academies, and not-for-profit sectors.
You will join a collaborative and supportive team, working closely with clients and helping to mentor apprentices and junior team members, while developing your technical and advisory skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute audit fieldwork for a varied client portfolio, ensuring high-quality, fully compliant financial statements.
- Identify areas of risk within clients’ businesses and determine appropriate audit approaches.
- Review and supervise work of junior team members to ensure audit objectives are met.
- Assist in the management, motivation, mentoring, and development of the team.
- Gain exposure to a variety of industries and complex audit scenarios.
- Use in-depth knowledge of clients to anticipate and address complex and challenging issues.
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified.
- Experience working within an audit team in a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong project management, time management, organisational, evaluative, and administrative skills.
- Well-developed supervisory skills, including coaching and mentoring of audit assistants.
- Ability to understand both the bigger picture and detailed balances within audits.
