Audit Associate - Cheltenham

Associate – Corporate Audit Location: Cheltenham, UK
Salary: £27,000 – £36,000 + 8% annual bonus

About the Role We are recruiting for an Associate – Corporate Audit to join an expanding team in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated audit professional to take the next step in their career, working with a team that delivers high-quality audit services to a variety of corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Audit Delivery: Take responsibility for the planning, execution, and finalisation of audit assignments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP.
  • Client Management: Act as a day-to-day point of contact for clients, demonstrating excellent communication skills and professionalism.
  • Team Support & Coaching: Oversee and support junior staff, providing on-the-job training and guidance.
  • Risk & Compliance: Identify and manage audit risks, applying relevant legal, regulatory, and business rules.
  • Business Development: Identify potential opportunities to add value to clients and contribute to the growth of the practice.
  • Continuous Improvement: Produce high-quality work and help clients improve business processes where appropriate.
Skills & Experience
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or studying towards qualification ( essential).
  • Previous experience in auditing and accounting, ideally with corporate clients and UK GAAP knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with CaseWare is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
  • Proactive, results-driven, and committed to personal and professional development.
