Audit Associate - Bristol

Audit Associate
Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
Department: Audit & Assurance
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000

We’re working with a fast-growing, tech-enabled accountancy firm on a mission to become the UK’s leading SME advisory specialist. Their focus is on helping ambitious entrepreneurs and businesses achieve their goals and make a real impact – and now they’re looking to expand their high-calibre team with a new Audit Associate.
You’ll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking business that champions learning, values diversity, and empowers its people to do their best work. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience across the full audit process, develop strong technical expertise, and engage directly with CFOs, CEOs, and founders from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting the delivery of audit engagements from planning through to completion
  • Working across a varied SME and small-cap client portfolio alongside audit managers and directors
  • Regularly working both remotely and on-site at client premises
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members, helping them understand objectives and contribute effectively
  • Gaining exposure to a wide range of accounting and financial issues that go beyond box-ticking
What We’re Looking For
  • Actively studying ACA or ACCA
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to engage confidently with clients and team members
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines
  • A genuine interest in supporting SMEs and working with entrepreneurial clients
  • Collaborative approach and a passion for continuous learning
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (typically up to 2 days a week from home)
Why Join?
  • 37.5-hour working week with core hours of 10am – 4pm
  • Hybrid working (up to 2 days a week from home)
  • Fast-paced, supportive and inclusive team culture
  • Clear progression path and structured development support
  • Early exposure to decision-makers and real influence on client outcomes
  • A chance to be part of a modern, growing firm that’s reshaping the future of accounting
If you're looking to take the next step in your audit career and want to work in a dynamic, modern environment, we’d love to hear from you.
