Audit Assistant Manager 
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £42,000 – £52,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hybrid Working: Yes – flexible working arrangements available

Join a leading UK accountancy practice renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovation. As an Audit Assistant Manager, you'll work with a diverse SME client base across various industries—ensuring no two days are the same.

The Opportunity 
In this role, you will:
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients with minimal supervision from senior management.
  • Support the delivery of revenue and profitability targets for your engagements.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across a broad range of sectors.
  • Play a pivotal role in mentoring and developing junior team members.
Key Responsibilities 
  • Review accounts and provide advice for more complex clients.
  • Deliver audit engagements from planning through to completion, managing audit teams throughout the process.
  • Conduct planning and close-out meetings, ensuring a seamless audit cycle.
  • Assist in staff resourcing across audits and liaise closely with Partners and fellow managers.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, providing technical support and conducting appraisals.
What we're looking for
  • ACA/ACCA/CA or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience auditing clients across various industries.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • A passion for mentoring and supporting team members.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
